Israeli Fire Kills Two Palestinians Injures Three in Gaza
Medical sources said a man was killed and another Palestinian injured when an Israeli drone struck pedestrians near the Municipal Park on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street in central Gaza City.
A 34-year-old Palestinian also died from wounds sustained in an Israeli attack on civilians near the Taiba Towers in Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Monday, according to the sources.
In the Mawasi area of Rafah, Israeli military vehicles opened fire toward tents housing displaced Palestinians, striking a displaced man inside his tent, the sources said.
Another incident was reported in central Gaza, where a girl suffered moderate injuries after Israeli forces fired toward residential areas east of the Bureij refugee camp.
Israeli forces also conducted two demolition operations in areas east of Gaza City that remain under their control, destroying Palestinian homes and other buildings that had been evacuated, according to witnesses.
One demolition was reported east of the Shujaiya neighborhood, while another took place east of Al-Tuffah.
The situation also affected Gaza’s coastal waters. Israeli naval vessels opened machine-gun fire toward fishing boats off the coast of Gaza City, although no injuries were reported in the incident.
The latest casualties add to the toll reported since the ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025. Gaza’s Health Ministry said Israeli forces have killed at least 1,460 Palestinians and injured another 5,116 since the truce began.
The ceasefire was intended to reduce violence and provide greater protection for civilians, but Palestinian authorities have continued to report Israeli military fire, demolitions and other incidents across different parts of the Gaza Strip.
Since the war began in October 2023, more than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 175,000 injured, according to Palestinian figures. The conflict has also caused extensive destruction across Gaza, with about 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure reported to have been damaged or destroyed.
