Israeli Forces Shoot Palestinian Man in West Bank Raid
The man was hit in the abdomen and thigh during the raid on the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, an official Palestinian news agency reported. Israeli forces detained him and blocked ambulance crews from reaching him for several minutes before allowing him to be taken to a hospital, the agency said.
In Nablus, settlers took olives from Palestinian farmland in Beita days ahead of the annual harvest, local sources told Anadolu. Settlers also attacked the community of Khirbet al-Marajim, where they tried to enter a home occupied by a family, the sources said.
Farther south, armed settlers attacked Palestinian homes and assaulted residents in Halhul, north of Hebron, while Israeli forces were deployed in the area. Israeli forces also detained two Palestinians in the Hebron area.
In the village of Jinba, south of Hebron, troops ordered a Palestinian family to take down tents they had put up on the ruins of homes demolished days earlier, and seized the family's vehicle, the news agency reported.
Attacks across the occupied territory by the Israeli army and settlers have intensified since the war on the Gaza Strip began on Oct. 8, 2023, according to Palestinian figures. Those figures put the death toll at 1,206 Palestinians, including 254 children, with around 13,350 others injured and more than 24,600 arrested.
