Israeli Settlers Set Fire to Palestinian Vehicles, Deface Homes in West Bank

(MENAFN) Two vehicles owned by Palestinian residents were set ablaze by Israeli settlers in the early hours of Tuesday during an incursion into the village of Umm Safa, located northwest of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

According to reports, the attackers also spray-painted racist Hebrew slogans on the walls and doors of several homes throughout the village before leaving the area.

As stated by reports, Umm Safa has frequently faced assaults by settlers originating from illegal Israeli settlements and outposts built on Palestinian-owned land surrounding the village.

The latest incident is part of a wider increase in settler violence across the West Bank. Recent attacks have included the arson of Palestinian homes, vehicles, and other property, as well as physical assaults on residents and the creation of additional unauthorized settlement outposts.

Reports indicate that violence in the occupied West Bank has intensified significantly since the outbreak of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, with both Israeli forces and settlers carrying out a growing number of attacks throughout the territory.
