One Killed, Several Injured in Gaza Strikes Despite Ongoing Ceasefire
According to reports, two injured Palestinians—one in critical condition—were taken to hospital after an airstrike hit civilians near Firas Market in central Gaza City, a medical source at the Baptist Hospital said.
Earlier the same day, another Palestinian was killed and three people, including a child, were wounded in a strike near the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
A medical source reported that the body of Jamal Abu Aoun, along with three injured individuals, arrived at the hospital after a drone strike targeted a group of civilians close to the medical facility.
In separate incidents, Israeli artillery fire struck areas east and south of Khan Younis in southern Gaza early Saturday morning. Additional shelling was also reported northeast of the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
According to figures from Gaza’s Media Office, 929 Palestinians have been killed and 2,811 injured since the ceasefire came into effect in October last year.
Palestinian authorities further state that since the start of the war in October 2023, at least 72,938 Palestinians have been killed and more than 172,000 injured, the majority of them women and children.
