Palestinians Receive Far Fewer Building Permits Than Settlers in West Bank
Between 2009 and 2020, Palestinians obtain just 66 permits, whereas 22,000 are granted to settlers in the same period, according to Haaretz. “As most of the West Bank is off-limits to Palestinian development, residents are forced to build without permits,” the report notes.
