Palestinian Man Gets Killed Amid Ceasefire Violations by Israel

(MENAFN) A Palestinian man lost his life on Monday due to Israeli gunfire in the al-Tuffah district, located east of Gaza City, according to medical sources. The area from which he was shot had reportedly been vacated earlier by Israeli forces under the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
The event took place against the backdrop of ongoing Israeli breaches of the ceasefire, which has been in effect since Oct. 10.

A source told a news agency that the victim, Mohammed Khaled Abed, was struck in the head by Israeli gunfire in the al-Zarqa section of al-Tuffah, resulting in his death. Witnesses indicated that the al-Zarqa area had previously been cleared by Israeli forces in accordance with the ceasefire stipulations.

In another related episode, sources reported that Israeli gunfire injured a young girl named Badria Issam Saqr in the al-Mawasi region west of Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza.
Palestinians have accused Israel of multiple breaches of the ceasefire arrangement, which was designed to halt Tel Aviv’s two-year conflict that has claimed more than 71,000 lives—predominantly women and children—and left nearly 171,400 others wounded since October 2023.

Gaza’s Health Ministry stated that at least 484 people have been killed and 1,321 others injured since the fragile truce went into effect.
