Israeli Airstrikes Hit Gaza Amid Fragile Ceasefire
According to the military, the individual had crossed the "Yellow Line," a boundary that indicates zones where Israeli forces remain stationed.
"Shortly after identification, the terrorist was eliminated to remove the threat," the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated.
The statement also noted that troops operating under the Southern Command "remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to act against any immediate threat."
Although the ceasefire has significantly reduced large-scale Israeli attacks, smaller operations have persisted nearly every day.
Gaza's Health Ministry reports that at least 238 Palestinians have been killed and roughly 600 injured by Israeli fire since Oct. 11.
This raises the cumulative death toll from Israeli strikes since October 2023 to almost 70,000.
